The Prosecutor General’s Office announced the detention of the chief editor of “Страна.uа” of Guzhva
Attorney General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko said that the editor-in-chief of the publication “Country.ua” Igor Guzhva was detained on suspicion of extortion of 10 thousand dollars. This Lutsenko wrote on his Facebook page.
“According to the materials of the GFS and the Kiev prosecutor’s office, I. Guzhva was detained, who claimed and received $ 10,000 for not placing compromising materials on the incumbent,” Lutsenko said.
Lutsenko also wrote that the investigation has video and audio evidence.
Recall, there was a photo and video from the police search of the editorial board of “Country.ua”.
The persons, who presented themselves as employees of the National Police of Ukraine, stormed the editorial office, which is included in the top 10 Internet media, of the publication “Country.ua”.
Note that, according to Igor Guzhva, the criminal case against the publication is falsified and arose after a critical publication about the People’s Deputy from the faction of the Radical Party, Dmitry Linko.
