For taking bribes, arrested the chief of a customs post “East” and his accomplice

At the request of the military Prosecutor of the Kiev garrison Central region of Ukraine, Pechersky district court of Kyiv detained convicted of illegal receipt of benefits in almost 6000 USD chief of a customs post “East” and his accomplice with the possibility of bail.

These persons reported on suspicion under part 3 of article 368 UK of Ukraine (obtaining illegal benefit by the official which holds responsible position, committed by a group).

We will remind, the customs officer and his accomplice demanded and received bribes for customs clearance of goods from the citizen who crossed the state border of Ukraine in the area of customs post “East”. They were detained in a joint operation by military prosecutors with the Directorate for combating corruption and organized crime of security Service of Ukraine.
The investigation is continuing.
