In Cherkassy lieutenant colonel of the SBU demanded from the businessman money for “protection”

SBU detained a bribe of his own employee, who was engaged in extorting money from the entrepreneur
This is reported by the press service of the SBU.

The lieutenant colonel demanded 75 thousand UAH from a local businessman for returning the previously seized equipment to the businessman.

The attacker also offered the businessman for 25 thousand UAH of a monthly “tribute” to guarantee further non-interference in production activities.

Operatives of the special services detained the extortionist in their own car in Cherkassy during the receipt of the first part of the bribe for the return of equipment. Criminal proceedings were opened under Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (bribery).
