More than 700 corrupt officials were fired from the State Border Service

In connection with the involvement in corruption activities from the State Border Service of Ukraine (SBS) 742 people were dismissed

This was stated by the chairman of the SBSU Peter Tsigikal, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

“Within the framework of the anti-corruption program, the reformed internal security units introduced new forms of preventing corrupt practices: for example, 742 people were dismissed from negative positions, 31 of them were deprived of their military rank, 12 were sentenced by a court decision, 10 were brought to administrative responsibility, 26 people, “- said Tsigikal during the annual board.

At the same time, he noted that about 1.1 thousand border guards refused to receive illegal profits.

According to a survey conducted by the representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, the respondents named the most corrupt institutions courts (71%), tax and customs bodies of the State Fiscal Service (54%), as well as local authorities (34%).
